Alexander McQueen Shoes

Shoes Black White for FashionYour new year shouldn’t be a twilight of grays, a melt of highlights and lowlights, a boring blend of neither success nor failure.

Your new year should be bright white striped with base black, it should be pure success played up by dark lessons.

Your new year should be an ambitious arch balanced on a pin-thin heel of risk and a fat platform of soul to save you.

But should you want to waste your new year, at least do it going into debt for Alexander McQueen f**k-you shoes, while jetting ’round the world, snorting coke off a model’s six-pack.

Hi-tech MP3 shoes

Check out the concept shoe as shown above. It features an integrated CD-ROM, some speakers, tweeters, and a volume control knob to boot (no pun intended). Of course, it might be a little behind the times as most portable MP3 players these days use either a hard drive or flash memory and not CD-ROMs. It would be interesting to see how such a concept can take off in the near future, although I am placing my money on at least three more iPod generations before such footwear becomes possible. It'd be great if there was Bluetooth functionality thrown in for a truly wireless on-the-go audio entertainment solution.

Who Is The Best Shoe Designer of 2007?

As a girl with a fabulous collection of footwear rivaling that of Imelda Marcos (okay, maybe not), it was difficult for me to narrow down the choices for this year's shoe designer of the year. But alas, I have my top five: Nine West, Jimmy Choo, Kors by Michael Kors, Brian Atwood, and Christian Louboutin. Some of these I regularly wear, some of these I aspire to wear. Whose shoes rocked your feet this year?

Top 10 Best Shoe Brands

As you know, The Fashion Guru blog is known for their top 10 lists. So in honor of the shoe,I thought I’d make my list of the “Top 10 Best Shoe Brands”.  Any of these shoes you can find at their web site (under the same brand name) or at Zappos.com.  So kick back, relax, and find a comfy pair for your feet!

1.      Keds:  From their classic sneakers to trendy ballet flats, Keds has made a mark in the shoe industry.  And with having beautiful celebrity models such as Mischa Barton, how could you not resist wanting a pair?
2.    Skechers:  I loved them ever since the Spice Girls and Britney Spears were wearing their infamous platform sneakers.  (I even had a pair.) Now, I’m addicted to their maryjane and sandal lines.  No matter how stylish they are, they remain just as comfortable.
3.     Saucony:  Even though I haven’t worn these shoes for years, they still hold a place in my heart.  These colorful sneakers will brighten up your outfit and day.
4.     Cheeks:  Forget those uber-expensive sandals and sneakers that claim to tone your calves.  Cheeks by Tony Little are not only cute and affordable, but they give you great posture as well!  Who wouldn’t want that?
5.     Birkenstock:  Another great sandal that is super comfortable.  They no longer just come in the Hippie/Jesus version.  With so many styles to choose from, how can you resist?
6.     A.J. Valenci:  Not only are they trendy, but these shoes are comfy.  You’ll be wearing them, not the other way around.  Trust me; they’ve been around for YEARS.
7.     Aerosoles:  This is another stylish brand that has comfort on their mind.  Their array of shoes will take you from the office to a night out on the town.
8.     Clark’s:  I know I sound like a broken record by now, but this comfortable line has everything from sneakers to dress shoes to sandals.  But I have a few words for them:  Please bring back the old Springer sandal!
9.     Converse:  The punk rocker in me had to add Converse the list.  And with their clothing line sold exclusively at Target, how can I not praise them?  Even if you don’t like high-top sneakers, they will have a style for you that’s just as hardcore.
10. Reebok:  Known for their British emblem, Reebok made themselves a household name with their street style sneakers.  They were even one of the first brands to come out with high-tops.  No other brand screams, “Cool” like they do.

Easiest Target For Foot Fetishists
Anne Hathaway is simply shutting it down when it comes to her style lately - and her career too, I guess. And while her dress was pretty, these heels are making my heart beat a little faster. The needle and thread stitching on top that's in direct contrast to the haute heel is giving me a shoegasm.

Six of the Best: Sexy Heels

We love heels - a great pair has the ability to instantly make you feel long, lean and lavish. A good heel can not only add inches to your height, it can appear to take inches off your waistline and make you look so much more polished.
From a good pointed shoe, perfect for lengthening out curvacious legs, to heeled cut away ankle boots perfect for adding curve to slim pins. A little metallic gives a heavy pair of industrial heels enough polish for a night out (such as the gorgeous Siren Wasp from Wild Pair), whilst the Can Can heel from Mimco is a little bit of shoe perfection…
Siren Wasp $119.90 from Wild Pair
2: Suede Peep Toe Heel $28.00 from GoJane
3: Baylee Heel AU$169.95 from Witchery
4: Farrah Pump $199.00 from Country Road
5: Can Can Heel AU$450.00 from Mimco
6: Pulp Noir Boudoir Heel $99.00 from Pulp

What Shoes Are Best for Plantar Fasciitis?

Plantar fasciitis is a common cause of heel pain, specifically in runners or other individuals who must be on their feet for long periods of time. Once plantar fasciitis sets in, it is relatively easy to be rid of. With the proper exercises and arch support, specifically a change of shoes, plantar fasciitis can disappear just as suddenly as it set in.

    Plantar Fasciitis

  1. Plantar fasciitis occurs when the band of tissue connecting the heel to the toe and running along the bottom of your foot becomes inflamed. Normally, the band of tissue, or the plantar fascia, acts as a shock absorber for your foot with every step you take. Once the tissue becomes over-stressed or is under undue tension, the tissue will tear and swell. Obesity, flat-footedness, certain types of exercise such as running or dancing, long periods or standing or walking time, and improper shoes can cause stress or tension.

A telltale sign of plantar fasciitis is a stabbing pain in the arch or heel of your foot. It generally occurs in the morning with your first steps of the day. Once your foot limbers up, the pain generally subsides. But without treatment or attention, the pain will only grow worse and could cause other foot, knee, hip or back problems, eventually changing the way you walk.

    Your Shoes

  2. Your shoes play an important role when it comes to plantar fasciitis. Open-toed shoes such as flip-flops or sandals, high heels, or any other shoe without arch support can contribute to much of the tension on your feet, especially if worn at all times. To reduce the risk for plantar fasciitis, wear shoes with proper arch support. Although they typically tend to be more expensive, they will last longer and be more forgiving on your feet. The best and most comfortable shoes for plantar fasciitis are simple running shoes, although these tend to lose their support after some time and will need to be replaced.

If you must wear shoes that are flat or you simply don't like the look of arched shoes, you can buy an over-the-counter arch insert from any grocery store or pharmacy. They will generally help relieve the tension and keep you in style.

Top 10 Crazy Shoes

More crazy fashion and outrageous shoes

Check out some of these fashion crazes or crazy fashions. This picture falls under totally crazy shoes, these are the porcupine spiked heels, if the heels don’t kill your feet, the spikes around them will for sure.

Crazy Shoes

Modern shoes are more of a fictitious nature and supernatural designs. Thigh high boots came to replace jackboots, heels are shaped into very weird forms (and sometimes there is no heel or wedge at all as with heel-less boots) and the diversity of colors can blear the eyes.
Crazy Shoes

First, we were offered to try incredibly high stilettos and less-than-comfortable wedges. But designers didn’t stop here and now they are offering us the kind of shoes that you need some time to recognize where their heel is and what part of them will make it possible not to be thrown off balance.

Fall Shoes Trends. Crazy For Color or Just Plain Crazy? Second City Style Fashion Blog

Yes, the colors a little um, bright...but picture them with an all charcoal gray outfit. Now they make sense right? By adding a punch of color to an otherwise drab ensemble is very Fall '07. Remember, if you wear bright shoes...keep the bag simple.

Metal “I Dream of Jeanie” shoes… awesome. If I ever get that dream job of court jester, I will be sure to get a pair of these crazy shoes. I may need to snag them from a museum.

Mai Lamore’s Rose Shoes Bites You For $27,945

mai_lamore_rose_shoes
It’s time to remove the dust from the money piling in your bank account and tie some art work to your feet. Pinch yourself as this is possible. The pricey artistic cutting-edge street wear demands a whooping sum of $27,945.
Crafted by Mai Lamore, don’t degrade them by tagging them as mere shoes as they are no less than a work of art. The 18 karat gold heels are quite sensuous and ufffff when it is complemented with the hand dyed silk
petals. Well, considering the price tag and beauty attached to it, I would love to buy this pair and won’t dare to carry it. It would be my luxurious installed masterpiece. If this precious gold heel gets success in winning your heart then try saving some bucks right away. Of course, it is far cheaper than the world’s most expensive sandals.

Flower Shoes – Fantasy Has No Limits

flower-shoes
Can art still be reinvented? Can we make art out of anything? Michel Tcherevkoff, a famous photographer, looks one day at the photo of a leaf that he uses in his photo shootings and says: “Hey, that looks like a shoe!” And so the fantasy began…
Little by little flowers began to take the shape of a shoe.
It has been called the “shoe-fleur” concept and it worked. Tcherevkoff’s hands brought to life fantasy shoes: shoes that can be worn by fairies and magic little creatures.

Croc Shoes
Before you start, this is not a senseless rip off the ZekeyCorp's ever successful Banana Shoes. Its not a cleverly PS'd image either. Unlike this one:

crocodileshoesgm
Unlike those Croc Shoes, these are real. And are cool to boot.

Croc Shoes

Some of you may have heard of them, some may have not. I'll assume not and plod on regardless in my quest to educate them to their awesomeness.

I'll start of with what they look like...
Thats a pair of the bad boys. Yes, they look odd. Yes, they look silly. Yes, you wouldn't want to wear a pair. I know for a PHACT that I cannot convince you to their amazingness without you trying them on. That is your amazing discovery to be uncovered and I'll leave you to it.

However, Croc Shoes are the in footwear at the moment. they are having trouble staying on the shevles in America and are popular in surfing coastal towns of the UK. They are quite remarkable as in they look like a massive pair of cumbersome clogs that are ridiculously heavy and uncomfortable. HAH! YOU SIR ARE WRONG!! They are made of rubber, weigh no more than 5oz [141.7g approx] and have little nobbly bits, or rather an "orthotic bed that with body heat will soften and mold to the shape of a person's foot for maximum comfort and support" But don't just listen to me of their comfort. Listen to this lady.

Moving and Shoes

Moving and Shoes, MP3 Shoes - Sport Shoes - Unique Shoes MP3 Shoes - Sport Shoes - Unique Shoes
Some clever geniuses felt your regular shoes just didn't have enough integrated CD-ROMs, speakers, tweeters, and a volume control knobs, so they put this little concept together. Forget the fact that there's no way a CD will read in a moving shoe, but look at it. I mean really, look at it. It's like how they predicted the shoe of the future would look like in the 80's.

MP3 Shoes

MP3 Shoes, Charge Your MP3 Player on Shoes, Designer Shoes, Nike Shoes
Charge Your MP3 Player on Shoes
NTT is developing a high tech shoe that charges your MP3 player or cell phone. Neat but how does it work? Every step you take puts pressure on a liquid-filled sole, creating enough water flow to put some oomph in a small turbine generator. Result? 1.2 watts of good ol’ electric juice to power up that iPod. Nice one.
NTT wants to pump up the power to 3W before commercializing it in 2010. Judging by the pic, they also need to seriously consider hiring a shoe designer.

Nike Shoes MP3 Transformers
In preparation for the new Transformers movie, Takara is releasing these Transformers toys which turn into 1/2 scale Nike shoes. No, seriously. Not a tank, or a jet, or even a sports car. Shoes. They turn into shoes.
A pretty sweet video of what an actual Shoe Transformer might look like after the jump.
