Alexander McQueen Shoes

Shoes Black White for FashionYour new year shouldn’t be a twilight of grays, a melt of highlights and lowlights, a boring blend of neither success nor failure.

Your new year should be bright white striped with base black, it should be pure success played up by dark lessons.

Your new year should be an ambitious arch balanced on a pin-thin heel of risk and a fat platform of soul to save you.

But should you want to waste your new year, at least do it going into debt for Alexander McQueen f**k-you shoes, while jetting ’round the world, snorting coke off a model’s six-pack.

Cute Shoes

I am completely obsessed with shoes, so I felt I had to share with all of you some of the cutest shoes I’ve seen around. There are a lot of new fashions this season, but there are also lots of things that have come back from last season, so don’t throw anything out yet. Pretty much anything that’s cute, will look good on you. I especially like the peep-toes because they make any outfit extremely sexy as well as stilettos which are completely to die for!

These adorable peep-toe pumps are from J Lo’s shoe collection. They are absolutely amazing, especially for the summer. I especially like the ankle strap, so you can wear them either during the day or at night. The color is very interesting as well, a deep green with a black background, and a lot of intricate little details that add just the right touch to these ultra-feminine shoes.
-lo-shoesThese next shoes are probably one of my top choices (I’ve featured them on a previous blog) but I just can’t get enough of them! They are so perfect for the summer as they will go fabulously with anything from skinny jeans, to miniskirts, and all sorts of summer dresses. The wooden heel gives it a simple, natural look, while the floral pattern gives off a feminine vibe. These peep-toes will make your legs look absolutely amazing.

Now there is nothing better than a cute pair of espadrilles on a nice summer day. These sandals are very chic and modern, but simple and natural at the same time. Just the different design of the shoe is in itself an entirely new perspective. The color is an amazing red, which goes surprisingly well with the black and white rimmed straps. These are the perfect shoes for a stroll through the park and even a day at the beach.

Wedding shoes: an overlooked item during preparations

There’s so much going on whenever a bride-to-be plans for her special day. Plans range from getting the perfect dress, the best photographers and videographers, excellent florists and even the best date to get married. Now that everything’s planned out, there’s one thing missing – the best wedding shoes to go with the dress.

bridal shoes_wedding shoesUnderstandably, wedding shoes are overlooked most of the time because it is most likely to go unnoticed to the bride. Being covered by the long gown during the wedding, most if not all of the people attending the wedding won’t be noticing the shoes at all. However, it must be pointed out that wedding shoes are as important as the dress for the bride.

Wedding shoes range from satin pumps to strappy sandals. With a lot of shoes to choose from, brides should consider the comfort rather than the design. It would be better if she can have both factors.

It is important to wear on comfortable wedding shoes because the wedding dress is already heavy enough to sport on and it is best that the support won’t add much discomfort to the bride. The reception that takes place after the wedding means a lot of walking around for the bride because she’ll be thanking everyone who attended the wedding with her new husband.

Walking down the aisle is a memorable moment. It doesn’t have to be tainted with the memory of having aching feet afterwards.

White Wedding Shoes Photo

White wedding shoes charliet photoWhite wedding shoes have got to be one of the most elegant shoes that you can find. There is something about the purity of wearing white that is simply fantastic! Plus, you hardly ever get to wear white shoes. When was the last time you put on a pair of white shoes? So, for your wedding, I think white shoes would be fantastic!

The photo above is simply gorgeous. It was shot by Charles Thompson, a great photographer. What I love about the photo is the angle and how the shoes are laid out with the bouquet. At this angle, you can see the great details of the front of the shoe. This white wedding shoe is so pretty. I love the pointed heel with the little ankle strap. It looks like the ankle strap even has delicate rhinestones – a great touch for a wedding shoe. Also, the front has a gorgeous bow and it looks like 2 straps come together to form that bow. It’s such a great shoe and perfect for the bride looking for something special.

The thing I love about the photo is how the bouquet contrasts against the shoes. The deep dark red roses look great against the pure white shoes. The background is really simple and pretty white as well making the contrast against the bouquet even greater. You can even see a peep of the window that is cracked open. I love the whole effect! There is something so great about the angle, the flowers and the white background. The shoes are so pretty too!

If you’re a bride looking to show off your shoes, considering putting your bouquet next to the shoes to give them some color, especially if you are planning to wear white wedding shoes.

Today’s fashion trends: High heels shoes

todays-fashion-trends-high-heels-shoesFor some people they are a symbol of distinction and elegance, other people see them as a sexual fetish and for almost all women they are a torture they wear on their feet. However, it is an indispensable accessory for all kind of events. High heels are in fashion again in different styles: Peep toe, Stilettos or Louboutin. There are heels for all preferences.

Currently, you can find a lot of models and several designs, although the most popular are those with velvet textures and patent leather similar to the Dita Von Teese pin up style. Other popular heels are the snake heels and pyramid studded heels.

Jimmy Choo, Manolo Blahnik or Prada are some of the most outstanding brands with these types of designs. It is common to see their models being worn by actresses like Sarah Jessica Parker or Angelina Jolie who not doubt have preferences for Peep Toes. They are some of the celebrities who usually wear heels for any social event.

Short women like Eva Longoria and tall women like Charlize Theron or Katie Holmes… all of them wear spectacular and elegant dresses or outfits to add style in their looks, and they usually complement their looks with the new Louboutin heels or other high heels that emphasize their long legs.

Fashion trends in shoes and booties – Autumn Winter 2008 2009

fashion-trends-in-shoes-and-booties-autumn-winter-2008-2009If you loooove shoes, then this post is for you. Maybe you don’t have a closet full of Manolo’s shoes like Carrie Bradshaw in Sex and the City, but some good choices for the season could be enough. We need to know which trends in shoes and boots are in fashion this autumn-winter that is becoming very cold.

The must-have footwear for women this winter are the Eighties-style booties. They are the perfect complement for skinny pants, skirts or dresses. They can be hidden platform booties like those designed by Yves Saint Laurent, or pointed booties like those designed by ChloƩ or Roberto Cavalli.

The punk or rock style is complemented with elements like the studs used in Gucci boots. Boots with fringes, like those of Gucci, are perfect for the folk-hippie style, that is so in fashion this season.

boots-and-bootiesBuckles are also popular accessories for shoes this season, just like in Marc Jacobs booties. And, shoelaces are a strong trend after several seasons: this year, Dolce & Gabbana have some very comfortable options with shoelaces which are very easy to combine.

Women's Shoes

Someone has rightly said that there are more types of women’s shoes then there are women themselves. And this just highlights the importance that shoes have in a women’s wardrobe. But often it becomes hard to choose the right shoe for the right occasion. Women often have to suffer immense pain just to look special with their shoes on. But that doesn’t mean that you have to look sloppy to be comfortable. Let me just simplify your hunt for the right shoe just a bit by giving you some basic tips about choosing a shoe.
women-shoes• The Pumps:-
The pumps would be the best to be worn at your office or workplace. These shoes cover your entire foot and so also have a heel of any size.
• Stiletto’s:-
These shoes have high heels of 4-6 inches and wearing them is quite a punishment for your feet. But still they are very popular amongst the girls because they are really attractive. But one suggestion, just don’t wear them for too long
• Open Toe Dress Heal:-
This shoe has high heels generally of 3-4 inches. These look really trendy but you should not fall into the trap if you are not really comfortable wearing those.
• Sports shoes:-
If you work hard to stay fit and all charged up then you must have a good pair of sports shoes. They are a lot more comfortable than any other type of shoe and is not only for the fitness fanatics. Life today is very tiring and one needs to stay fit. So do have one of these in your wardrobe
• Summer Sandal:-
Summer sandals are a nice, comfortable and trendy option to go for. They go well with your party dresses and keep you all comfortable and attractive both at the same time.
• Evening Shoes:-
All those girls who call themselves party animals would definitely have a pair of these. These shoes are made to make you look absolutely splendid. Even if you party occasionally go for a cheaper version because everyone parties once in a while.
• Flat Or Skimmers:-
Ballet flats or skimmers are comfortable shoes that can be worn with jeans and Capri’s. These are not the most fashionable choice but definitely the comfortable one. If you want something more stylish then try the preppy versions of skimmers with bows and ribbons.

All these varieties of shoes should definitely make you feel comfortable for any occasion.

High heels prove a real pain for women

High heels are destroying women's feet, causing permanent damage to a third of women, according to new research.

High heels are destroying women's feet, causing permanent damage to a third of women, according to new research. Teetering around in several inches of heel not only hurts the feet, but causes accidents. More than a third of women have fallen while wearing them, the study found. The rise in popularity of such footwear has been encouraged by celebrities such as Gwyneth Paltrow, Victoria Beckham and Sarah Jessica Parker. One in 10 women now wear high heels three days a week, according to the study. The research, carried out by the American based shoe company MBT, examined 1,000 women and showed that the long term health of teenagers was particularly at risk with a growing number of under 18s wearing high heels before their bodies have fully developed. Current teenagers are 50 times more likely to have hip trouble than their mothers, while the number of girls suffering from back problems has also increased ten fold in the last generation, according to the study. Podiatrists have long criticised the high heel, warning women that they cause permanent damage. Common complaints from women who regularly wear them include heel pain and calluses. Such restrictive footwear can also cause bunions, ingrown toenails, nerve problems, stress fractures and "hammertoes" - a permanent bend in the middle joint of a toe. But the study concluded that flat pumps, popularised by model Kate Moss and singer Amy Winehouse, were equally problematic because they offer no support at all.

Women Heels

Women HeelsHeels: How much Height do they really add?

The Amazona team’s personal mission of trying to persuade tall girls and women to get into some heels is well evidenced. Not only do they improve your posture, give you better legs (and a better bottom!) and make you look more confident, they also improve your love life! (Check out our original blog ‘Why Tall Women Should Wear Heels’)

The single most cited reason for tall girls not to wear heels is that it makes them ‘just too tall’. Now our view is that this is just nonsense. If you’re like us (we’re between 5ft11 and 6ft2), then you’ll probably be the tallest person in the room, regardless of whether you wear high heels or not and quite frankly, with the average height here in the UK being 5ft7, the difference to someone looking up at you of 7 inches or 10 inches is not very much! It’s all relative to the shorties…

Luckily, we’ve just come across yet more evidence to support our views - high heels don’t add more than just over 2.5 inches to your height, regardless of the size of the heel! Now, it is best to qualify that statement somewhat - we are talking about heels with no platform. It’s all to do with how much your foot pivots (which is what happens when you wear heels). Don’t assume that 3.5 inch heels will add the same to your height because it’s unlikely they will unless you have a platform too).

If you don’t believe us, check out the full articles at celeb heights here.

So ladies, now there is no excuse not to grab a pair of fabulously high heels and embrace your height.
