The founders, long-standing friends Natalia Barbieri and Jennifer Portman, whose dream of designing the most exquisite and sophisticated footwear is being realised by capturing the best of Italian style and combining it with luxurious quality and innovative design, have created a range of extraordinarily desirable, versatile and incredibly wearable shoes.

Inspired by the glamour and culture of Italian design at its very best, and their frustration at not finding that perfect blend of design, quality and luxury for themselves as they sought to express their sense of high fashion, they decided to solve the problem by founding their own shoe design company in 2006.
They named the brand Bionda Castana Milano; Bionda meaning Blonde and Castana meaning Brunette in Italian, Bionda Catana shoes are 100% made in Italy.

This British label is fast becoming one of the major players in the luxury footwear market.
