These were my wedding shoes. I really lucked out. Bridal shoes are just so bland – plain white satin, unadorned, with a few very basic styles. Truly hideous. I happened to find these on my near-daily tours through the Nordstrom website. I fell in love with them instantly. They are vintage-y, sexy, and something I would wear again.
There was only one thing stopping me from buying these shoes: I hadn’t picked a dress yet! I stepped up my shoe browsing, just to see what else was out there. After about 3 days I realized I was not going to find anything more perfect than these shoes, and ordered them immediately. I bought my dress 2 weeks later – yes, I chose a dress to match my shoes. I even had my dress hemmed an inch too short so my shoes would peek out.
The shoes received rave reviews at the wedding. Word must have gotten out about my fabulous shoes, for when I went around greeting people, one of the first things that people asked were to see my shoes (or maybe it was that they know me too well). I kept them on all night – at least 8 hours straight. By the end of the night the only damage to my feet were one small blister on my pinky toe, and three of my toes that were numb (to be fair, the toe-numbness is a pre-existing condition from my ice skating days, and happens on occasion).
